ABOUT US
Now is the time for something different.
The Green People arose in response to the contested 2023 national election and deepening economic crisis. We aim to unite Nigerians across regional, ethnic and religious lines to heal national divisions and restore faith in democracy.
The Green People aims to unite Nigerians around shared values of integrity, justice and opportunity for all.
We are an independent grassroots movement not beholden to any special interests. Our goal is to mobilize citizens to become the leadership Nigeria deserves and inspire a new generation of leaders to step forward.
The journey begins with you. Join the movement and become the leader Nigeria needs. Together, we can put Nigeria back on the path towards national renewal.
Integrity
We reject corruption and self-dealing by leaders. Good governance requires leaders who serve with honesty and accountability.
Justice
All Nigerians deserve equal rights and opportunities. Government must work for the interests of the people who rely on them to make the country work.
Unity
Nigerians have more that unites than divides us. We embrace our diversity while affirming our shared citizenship. This calls for unity in all that we do.
OUR APPROACH
The Green People seeks to enact gradual reform through ethical, lawful means. We believe sustainable progress requires incremental steps, not overnight revolution.

Frequently asked questions
Who is behind the Green People?
The Green People was founded by a diverse coalition of civic leaders, youth activists, business owners, academics, and concerned citizens across Nigeria. We have no formal party affiliation or funding from special interests. This is a true grassroots movement powered by ordinary Nigerians seeking positive change.
If you're not a political party, how do you plan to create change?
As a non-partisan movement, we aim to raise awareness, shift public opinion, mobilize communities, and develop ethical leaders. By influencing culture and mindsets, we hope to inspire citizens to demand better from elected leaders while also grooming a new generation of reform-minded public servants. Our focus is gradual, sustainable change from the ground up.
What are your main policy priorities?
Our primary goal is to restore ethics, justice and opportunity in Nigeria. This means fighting corruption, ensuring the equitable rule of law, creating economic opportunities for all citizens, and fostering unity across divisions. We believe these values, more than any specific policy, must be at the core of good governance.
How can I get involved?
This movement is nothing without the Nigerian people. You can join our volunteer community organizing teams, share our message on social media, make a small donation, attend an event in your area, or apply for our future leaders program. Every little bit helps multiply our voice and impact.
